Class A Barber
Barber Stylist Program
Objective: The Barber Stylist Course prepares the student for the TDLR examination and provides the knowledge and skills to be employable in the profession as a licensed Barber.
The objective of the course is to give our students the academic and practical tools needed to succeed in the profession. In addition to classroom study, supervised practical training gives students hands on experience. Completion of this course awards students a diploma qualifying them to take the state licensing exam. After passing the state test, graduates are qualified as professional Barbers and can work in a number of positions in barbershops across Texas.

- Full time in approximately 8.5 months
- Part time in approximately 10.5 months
- Diploma awarded upon successful completion

How to Enroll
No prior experience is required. Applicants must meet the requirements established by the State of Texas, including minimum age requirements and proof of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Licensed cosmetologists may still pursue a Class A Barber license. The previous 300 hour crossover program is no longer offered, so please contact us to review your individual qualifications.
